Barn owls are an interesting mix of colours, some are almost cream all over and some quite dark with rusty patches and some interesting greys which blue and green in different lights, this makes Barn Owls a lot of fun to enamel. The majority of the enamelling is done using the cloisonne technique on a copper base, after about 10 or 11 firings I then add gold leaf and a touch of enamel paint and then fire it for a final time.

This one is enamelled in golds and green with rich blue background and a soft matt finish and is set in sterling silver and has an oak leaf bail.

The owl part of the pendant is 3cm by 2.2cm and from the top of the bail to the bottom of the owl it is 4.5cm and is on a 20inch sterling silver chain.
