I’m very pleased to be exhibiting at Craft Festival Wales in Cardigan Castle in the first week of September. I’ve been working really hard. It’s veryeasy to over do it and end up on the settee for a couple of days but I dont know if it is possible to learn moderation. I’ve made new crow pins for the craft fair, I design a new one for each big event and then decide whether or not to keep making them afterwards. I love these ones, the picture shows one on a card the same size as a passport photo.
Each crow pin is individually created with a brushstroke of blue black enamel and then the beak and legs painted on before firing. This particular colour enamel is possibly my favourite, I have a large stock pile as the thought of running out leaves me chilled.
The top picture is of a new large pink cat ring, I made three rings and three pendants and love the pink combination the best, the pendant is smaller than the ring and is currently my favourite.
I’ve also made new cat pins in 2 new colours and kept notes on how I mixed the colours so I should be able to repeat them, if I can find the notes. A bright ginger and a tortoishell.
It is going to be a wonderful event and it’s going to be so nice to catch up with makers and visitors, I really cant wait, despite having a huge to do list.
